A quick business card project designed in Inkscape from start to finish.
Inkscape can be used to create quickly mock-ups for GUI interfaces, websites, color palettes, etc.
Wordpress is the world’s blogging platform and this reflects in its usage but also in the amount of themes available for the platform. It is also an excellent CMS (something that its creators most likely didn’t intend to become) thus making it suitable for large & complex websites. I am using Wordpress from both perspectives; today I want to share with you the “blogging perspective” of Wordpress. If you are familiar with Wordpress, you know that for any blog having featured images has become an important part of any blogging theme. I will show case how I am doing my featured images for my Linux blog with Inkscape & Shutter.
Whenever we launch Inkscape, a standard template is used and presented to the user; it has certain properties already setup – e.g. A4 size document with the border shadow on etc. We have the posibility of creating our own standard document to suit our preferences; this custom template will appear whenever Inkscape is launched.
Inkscape can be used to easily generate digital presentations that can be opened with any browser that has support for the SVG standard. The presentation we will create can be opened without issues in Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera. The presentation can also be saved in PNG or PDF format if it is necessary.
